Senior Pastor: Brian Sullivan
Brian, a native of Citrus County, thoroughly enjoys preaching, teaching, and making the gospel known among all the peoples of the world. God called Brian into ministry and he left for an education and to play baseball at Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach, FL. where he met his wife, Lisa, of 21 years. They have twin sons, John Caleb and Charles Haddon, and one daughter, Elizabeth Joy.
After graduation from PBA, Brian and Lisa lived and served in churches and with student camp ministry for three years in Birmingham, AL. After Brian graduated from Beeson Divinity School with an M.DIV and Lisa with her BA in Speech Communication he was ordained at First Baptist Church of Inverness in 2001. They left to serve in Canyon, TX for four years while Brian pastored university students and Lisa taught high school and coached. They then left to serve for nine years in East Asia. In 2014, the Lord provided an opportunity for them to return to Citrus County. By God’s grace, the Lord enabled Brian to help plant Christ Community Church where he currently serves as pastor and has recently completed his Doctorate of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary. Brian and Lisa enjoy athletics, reading, and watching their children play sports.
Associate Pastor of Families: Robert Vitter
Robert was born and raised in Inverness, FL. He spent many years living like the Prodigal son but when he was 25 Jesus genuinely got a hold of his heart! Soon after, he met his wife Lara in 2006, they were married a year later, and 10 months after that they had their 1st child. They left the corporate world in 2009 to go full-time into ministry at a home for abused and abandoned children in Alabama. In 2012 they moved from there to serve as missionaries in Italy until March 2020. Robert is passionate about investing in lives and sharing Jesus to make disciples who make disciples by loving God and others. He is a sports fanatic, graduated from the University of Florida, and loves to use sports to share the Gospel.
Robert and Lara have 5 children; Annabella Grace, Priscilla Hope, Lydia Love, Samuel Stephen and James Joseph. They are in the process of adopting a little boy from Ukraine and hope to bring him home soon. Robert and Lara are passionate about opening up their home and having fellowship and fun with family and friends.
